Shelton
Director
September 2, 1982
Mr. Lawrence G. White
P. O. Box 749
Canon City, Colorado 81212
RE: Twin Pines SORP Application
Dear Mr. White:
Twin Pines' Sma11 Operator Assistance Program (SOAP) application has been
received by the Division After having reviewed the application, the
Division recommends approval of Twin Pines into the SOAP program. However,
the status of the OSM grant monies is currently unknown. This is due in part
to the schedule differences in the fiscal years of the Federal and State
governments. The Division will contact Twin Pines as soon as the determination
of grant monies is final.
The operator is aware that funds from this program cannot be used to cover
the costs of test borings or core sampling. If the Division determines
that drilling of a core hole is necessary to obtain baseline hydrologic
information, the applicant must commit to providing a driller for the operation.
4Y/in Pines could commit now to obtaining a driller if one is needed in order to
speed up the contract procedures.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
~~
Carol Russell
Reclamation Specialist
