Introduction <br />License condition 13.]..9.2.1 of tl,e Colorado Radioactive <br />Materials License CO-369-U3S requires that. an oFtsite dose <br />evaluation be presented to the Division in rash s,~rni.-auuual <br />report. This report has been prepaced to comply witty this <br />license condition by following the stipulations set forth in <br />license condition 13.3.3, Radiological Healtt, and Safety <br />Procedure 3-8 (Offsite Dose Evaluation), NUNEG-Ok}59 <br />(Compliance Determination Procedure for Environmr_ntal <br />Radiation Protection Standards For Uranium Recovery <br />Facilities 40 CFR Part 190j, and various correspondence <br />between Cotter Corporation and the Division. Documents whic}, <br />comply with license condition 13.3.3.4 and 13.3.3.5 have been <br />provided to the Division in previous semi-annual reports and <br />remained unchanged during this reporting period. <br />II. Nearest Feasible Residence <br />The nearest feasible residenr_p to the licensed operations is <br />located on the uppermost portion of the mountain ridge <br />Wort},east of the facilities. Tt,is residence is located at an <br />elevation of 7450 feet or approximately 90U feet t,igher tt,an <br />the 6550 foot elevation of. the licensed facilities. The: <br />line-of-site distance from the ore crusher-sorter is <br />approximately 3700 feet (U.7 miles). To evaluate dose <br />co,nuitments at this residence, an env,ronmental ~amt~linu <br />station was placed approximate-ly one yuarte, of thr way up <br />t he side of. the muunta, n b.-t wear„ t he resr dr•nc ,, iu,rl the <br />11ci~nSed Eacilrties.
