Any decrease in volume of flow or lessening of the quality of the water <br />in Rapid Creek, Cottonwood Creek and all known Springs in the area <br />involved in the Permit, will be immediately corrected and appropriate <br />water will be restored by the Mining Company regardless of cause. <br />4 <br />3. Air shaft and ventilation fan, if installed, shall not be visible <br />from residential areas or Interstate ']0. Additional equipment <br />necessary for noise elimination during its operation shall be installed <br />at the same time mine ventLating equipment is originally installed <br />regardless of shaft location. (P1r. Greenlee advised the group this could <br />be accomplished). Operation of the ventilation fan will not interfere <br />with television or radio signals. <br />4. No additional air pollution shall be allowed as a result of the additional <br />mining activities. <br />5. Rapid Creek Road will not be used as an access for mining operations, and <br />no access roads off Rapid Creek Road to the mining operations will be <br />installed. Exception: Rapid Creek Road may be used for access to monitor <br />water floc in Rapid Creek, Cottonwood Creek and Springs, and any evidence <br />of subsidence. <br />6. The Mining Company will be responsible for any devaluation of private <br />property as a result .of mining operations in the area. <br />We are not opposed to the Compapy mining its coal. However, we are opposed to <br />activities that would alter our life style or devalue our property. If the above <br />stipulations are included in the revised permit, we have no objection to the <br />permit being granted. <br />Any questions concerning this 3~tter may be directed to Henry C.
