Area 10-11
West Ridge area 10-11 was evaluated using the methods described in BLM Technical Note No.
346. The erosion condition composite soil surface factor score for this site is 24, which places
It In the Slight erosion class. The tabulated results for this survey are contained in Table 19.
Terrace 10 also topped over in 3 places because of snow. This area also shows Tilling on the
south end in the topsWled area. There are slats several gullies just north of the access road that
show some signs of new erosion.
Area 11-12
West Ridge area 11-12 was evaluated using the methods described in BLM Technical Note No.
346. The erosion condition composite soil surface factor score for this site is 22, which places
It In the Slight erosion class. The tabulated results for this survey are contained In Table 20.
Terrace 11 also has a gully caused from snow blocking the terrace. This will be repaired this
summer. The newly seeded area at the south end shows Tilling, but the cover crop seems to be
growing well. The other disturbed areas near the terrates have been seeded recently, so r-o
erosion is present.
Area 12-13
West Ridge area 12-13 was evaluated using the methods described in BLM Technical Note No.
346. The erosion condition composite soil surface factor score for this site is 21, which places
It in the Slight erosion class. The tabulated results for this survey are contained In Table 21.
Terrace 12 has two gullies that formed from snow blocking the terrace. These will also be
repaired this summer. The small topsoiled patch and new seeded areas show Tilling and some
small gullies. The gully near the center of this area that was repaired and reseeded shows no
signs of new erosion.
Area 13-14
West Ridge area 13-14 was evaluated using the methods described in BLM Technical Note No.
346. The erosion condition composite soil surface factor score for this site is 26, which places
It In the Slight erosion class. The tabulated results for this survey are contained in Table 22.
The areas seeded last year at the start of terrace 13 show Tilling. The several old gullies in this
area do not show signs of new erosion, and seem to be revegetadng. Terrace 13 seems to be
preventing the establishing gullies from deteriorating further. There is also Tilling
immediately above terrace 14, where it was seeded last year. None of the Tilling rested in this
section warrents repair activity at this time. Vegetation should keep this area from degrading
further.
12
