_, ~-
Stephen Laudeman, P.E.
November 28, 1995
Page 2
COM, Inc. will dispose of the oil-contaminated soil at a permitted landfill, now
that you have confirmed that additional laboratory analysis is unnecessary. COM, [nc.'s
agents will use their own vehicles to transport the four barrels and will obtain a receipt
from the landfill operator for forwarding to you. I understand from our conversation that
you will not require a transportation manifest because no commercial carrier will be used.
Finally, [he various types of trash referenced in your September l5 letter (e.g.,
scraps of wood and carpet, bedsprings, PVC pipe, etc.) were loaded by hand into pickup
trucks or dump trunks and transported to a permitted landfill for disposal by COM, Inc.'s
agents. Receipts for this disposal will be forwarded to you with the receipt for disposal of
the oil-contaminated soil. I understand from our conversation that no transportation
manifest will be required because commercial transportation was not used.
Subject to forwarding the landfill receipts to you, COM, Inc. understands that it
has satisfied all of the requirements in your letter of September 15, 1995. Please advise
me if that is not the case, or if any of the understandings based on our conversations set
forth above are incorrect.
Sincerely yours,
DUFFORD & BROWN, P.C.
/~~~~-~~
Richazd L.
