Therefore Golder Associates has recommended, and CDOT has concurred, in the temporary use
of two piezometers to monitor pore-water pressure and to thereby avoid placement at a rate that
does not allow the pressure to dissipate.
It would be helpful if you were able to review this material and provide any questions or your
concurrence to me quite soon. Now that the Phase I pad construction is almost completed, the
focus will be on removing the tailing material as fast as possible as well as completing the
Highway 67 embankment to allow diversion of the highway this Fall.
Upon further analysis of the availability of materials, we may also provide this information to
you for the use of the same construction components for the Phase II toe berm.
Thank you for your expeditious consideration and processing of this request.
Environmental Affairs
Attachments (2): Letter from Golder Associates to CDOT dated July 14, 1995.
Letter from CDOT to golder Associates dated July 18, 1995.
FII.E: CC&VSTQ'.005
2
