Damrau
SUBJECT: Twentymile Coal Company & CMLRD Pre-Permit Conference
for Foidel Creek Life-of-Mine
DATE: October 25, 1983
LOCATION: CMLRD Office, Denver
ATTENDEES: CMLRD - Ed Bishoff, Emrich, Fred Banta, Jim
Pendelton an~Roy Cox
TCC - Geoff Weston, Ed Thurmond, Tom Johansen, Rent
Crofts, Larry Damrau, George Young, Richard
Wright and Jeff Saunders
PURPOSE OF MEETING: Establish lines of communication associated
with the permit application review/approval
process for the Foidel Creek life-of-mine
operations
Geoff Weston introduced the TCC project personnel present and
defined the purpose of the meeting in light of the Pilot mine
advancement to a main mine operation.
Ed Thurmond presented a status report of the present activities
associated with the Foidel Creek Pilot Mine. He then presented the
conceptual operation plan map and expressed the fact that any area
outlined on the map was conceptual and not to be interpreted as the
operation plan map which would be submitted with the permit application.
Ed informed the CMLRD of our plan to submit a permit application with
a detailed five year mine operation plan within the general life-of-mine
operation plan. Jim Pendelton responded that "sequencing of the mining
operations planned is most important".
Geoff Weston asked Jim Pendelton if it would be satisfactory
to simply drive entries only, under the AVF areas. Jim Pendelton
responded that each specific activity planned within the AVF would
have to be reviewed in detail prior to approval being granted.
