Due to the depth
of the proposed operations this agency does not anticipate the occurrence of depletions to the
surface stream system resulting from subsidence induced by mining. The DWR has no current
objecrions to the applicants proposal as presented. The current measures for the protection of
water resources contained in the present Orchard Valley Mine permit should be adequate to protect
the water resources of the Roatcap Creek Tract. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Respectfully,
Steven A Joliat
Geologist, Division of Water Resources
