4 - • <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Jerome F. Gamba -3- August 8, 1983 <br /> Exhibit L - Reclamation Costs <br /> <br />1. The Division believes that the financial warranty for this site <br />of $12,800.00 is insufficient, especially because of the increase in <br />disturbed acreage at any one time to 31.5 acres from 20.5 acres. The <br />purpose of posting a financial warranty is that in the unlikely event the <br />operator is unable to reclaim the site, the Board would pull the <br />financial warranty and reclaim the site. Therefore, please amend the <br />reclamation costs to accurately reflect the costs of reclaiming this <br />site. <br />An example of one of the costs would be for topsoiling the area. To <br />topsoil 24.5 acres ( areas being mined, areas ready to be topsoiled, and <br />areas for plant site) at an average depth of 18 inches, the cost would be <br />$36,759.80 (at $0.62 per cubic yard which is calculated from the Rental <br />Rate Blue Book and the Caterpillar Performance Handbook). Please provide <br />the costs for grading, topsoiling, seeding, etcetera. <br />Exhibit 0 - Proof of Legal Right to Enter <br />The agreement submitted with the original application for this <br />exhibit was only good for one year after the contract execution date of <br />September 5, 1981.
