These areas are all irrigated cropland with
water coming from the Holly Ditch.
PRESENT USES
All parcels are currently used for cropland. The current crop will soon be planted for the coming
' spring season. Predominate crops in this area are alfalfa, com, sorghum, and small grains. These
_ parcels total approximately 1040 acres and are the entire holding of the Esgar Corporation.
Parcel 7 is currently leased to Mr. Bill Holmes who will be farming that parcel this spring.
- There are no other known leases on the properties.
All of these divert reserve irrigation water from the Holly Ditch. There are sufficient water rights
- owned by the Esgar Corporation to produce expected results from the property.
SOILS SURVEY
This researcher obtained the soil survey for the Prowers County area. Exhibit C is a general
description of the soils found on these sites. One irrigation well is
located in the northwest quarter of Parcel 4. There are two irrigation wells located in the north
half of Parcel 5.
No evidence of springs were noted on any of these properties. The area is at such an elevation
that springs are not typical, and would not be expected on these properties.
2
