' See Section 3.D.3 for more discussion on the reclamation plan.
I.F Compliance with the Appropriate Agencies
In addition to the Use by Special Review from Douglas County, the Castle Rock Quarry proposal
will also receive the following permits prior to commencing the operation:
I) An Air Pollution Emission Notice (APEN) permit from the Colorado Department of
Health;
2) Nationwide permit from the Army Corps of Engineers;
' A Storm Water Management Plan and Storm Water Dischazge Permit have already been
obtained.
' 1.G Water Availability
The water needs of the operation are minimal. The lease with the landowner allows for the
drilling of a deep well. If for some reason hauling water proves inconvenient, CMI can drill a
well as the source of water.
' 1.H Wastewater Treatment
' Sanitation will be handled by portable toilets maintained by a private contractor.
' 1.I Fire Protectiou
The property lies within the Franktown Fire Protection District. In addition, hand-held fire
fighting equipment will be provided on-site according to safety regulations.
1.J Impacts to Flora and Fauua
See Appendix 3 for a complete discussion of the plants and animals on the site.
' I.K Impacts to County Services

This operation will have virtually no impact on community services. Occasionally the operation
may require some law enforcement if theft or vandalism occurs on the property. The access
roads will be gated to prevent public access during non-wcrking hours. No additional road
maintenance is required, as this operation replaces the existing Ditmars operation.
8
