Bonding <br />The Division has reviewed the reclamaticn performance bond for the CYCC Mine <br />No. 3 in accordance witn Rule 3.02.2(1). The amount cf the bond ar ociated ~.vith <br />the original permit issued in 1984 was 53,732,100.00. On Februarv 12, 1987, the <br />Di`/1;1Gn reC?IVed d °hd;e ? bond releas? r?^_L'e;t and On .4GYil 2, 1988 grant?d <br />the request, reducing the required bond amcunt to 31,493,080.00. On <br />February 4, 1983, a request for further bend r?ducticn .vas received by the <br />Oivisicn and on October 1, 1988, the decisicn became final, lrwering the <br />reduirad bend amcunt from 51,493,080.00 to 3150,000.00. currently, reoords at <br />the Division show a bond of 33,732,700.00 with no rider adjusting the required <br />bond to zither of the two reduced levels. However, the current approved bond <br />amount is 3156,000.00. In conjunction ~dith this midterm r?view, the Division <br />has recalculated the bond amount for Mine Nc. 3. Based en those calculations, <br />the requir?d bond amount is 3317,948.00. As required by Rule 3.02.4(2)(11), it <br />is the per~m~tt??'s re<_ponsibility to Grcvide an ace?ptable reolaceme.^.t bond to <br />the Division. Please find the detailed hone Ca1CU13t10n attached. <br />V. Ceci;ion tc Requir? Re ii;ion5 or .4dditlonal Informat`on <br />The Mine Nc. 3 site consists of 1,397 permitted acres ~.vith approximately 370 <br />disturbed and gully reclaimed acres. The t`.vo ponds i43N and M35 as well as the <br />remaining light use roads are approved as permanent featur?s. The two-acre <br />offic?/war=hour? site, the ar ociated topsoil pile, temporary ditches, culverts, <br />rock filters and monitoring wells are the ;,nly remaining items that would <br />requir? reclamaticn.
