<br />Protection of Hydrologic System. <br />a. Walden Coal will add approximately 6" of pit run gravel <br />over the Mann Draw culverts. <br />b. BLM is being consulted about lowering the farm road to <br />eliminate potential ponding. Their decision is pending. <br />c. The road ditch above Mann Draw has been diverted away from <br />the culvert. Riprap is not being placed on the culvert <br />ends but the company will remove dirt accummulations as <br />necessary if silting occurs. <br />Road Embankments. Road embankments were seeded before November <br />15, 1980 per BLM requirements. <br />Culverts. Decision on culvert at county road 19 and the haul road <br />is awaiting BLM response. <br />Diversion Ditches. <br />a. A pit will be dug to contain runoff from Ditch D. Capacity <br />will be 3.12 acre feet, per Leonard Rice calculations. <br />Ditch will flow into pit, X-~a 9_ q <br />b. Ditch below horseshoe dump has been deepened to allow drain- <br />age flow to Ditch D. <br />Blockage of Mann Draw. Parshall flume has been set in embankment <br />to measure flows from Mann Draw. <br />I hope these comments resolve questions and concerns you had about <br />conditions at Bourg during your last visit.
