Date: September 20, 2002
USFS Personnel Names: Kim Kaal
All Personnel Present: Edward Scartezini, Pinacle Construction
Project: Bowie, 2ooz Methane Drainage Well Drilling Project
Weather/Site Conditions: Clear, 75 degrees
Observations:
The purpose of today's visit with Edward was to address what needed to be done
in terms of reclamation for Bowie's drilling project prior to winter starting.
Roadwork for Bowie will be done this week and next week when Bowie will be out
money.
Some of the general items Edward and I talked about were:
• Interim seeding with certified weed free straw needed to be done for
roadways and cut slopes
• Grade pads to the out slope and install silt fence
• Install silt fence at the bottom of topsoil piles
• Fill in or fence out mud pits
Pull back drill pads to monitoring-sized pad
Improve drainage on some of the grade dips and rolling dips, and harden
if necessary
ObseraazYozzs regarding GVB and nzottitoring well sites:
Monitoring_Well i-t6
The silt fence is up but it needs to be buried
Fence off or fill in the mud pit
Build a cap for the hole
Possibly grade the pad to the out slope so water does not pond on the pad
Bowie does not need winter access, therefore might leave it like it is
Mulch and seed upslope and possibly down slope
Don't need silt fence on upslope but it is there so it is olc
Silt fenced on downhill side of the pad
Quarter track upslope, seed and mulch
