RESPONSES TO INSPECTION REPORTS <br />CARNATION MINE, PERMIT M-1977-416 <br />March 2003 <br />The following review of items noted in Inspection Reports and Division correspondences, that <br />have been submitted to the Operator during the period that the current Operator has controlled <br />the Permit, is intended to clarify outstanding issues and to ensure no issues are overlooked. <br />JULY 10, 1997 Inspection by Bob Oswald and Harry Posey: <br />Current Site Man: <br />The Inspector noted that the existing site map from 1979 was adequate, but that <br />updates and revisions to the site map should be provided with the subsequent Annual Report. <br />Response: <br />A complete and accurate site map is provided herewith. <br />Permit Identification Sign: <br />The Permit identification sign does not show the current Operator. <br />Response: <br />In January 2002 the Operator installed a correct Permit identification sign and <br />provided photographic evidence. <br />Permit Boundary Markers: <br />No corner markers exist to delineate the Affected Area boundary. <br />Response: <br />The Operator is submitting a Proposed Affected Area boundary herewith. Upon <br />reaching concurrence with the Division on the Affected Area boundary, the corners will be <br />marked in the field. <br />Power Lines: <br />The Operator is liable for reclamation of the power line owned by the Operator. <br />Response: <br />The current Operator has contacted the local utility to ascertain which lines belong to <br />the Operator and are therefore to be included in the reclamation obligations of the Operator. <br />June 2, 1998 Letter from Division: <br />New Map Boundaries: <br />The Operator submitted an updated site map in April 1998. The new site map <br />boundaries conform with the boundaries on the previous existing site map. Many, but not all, <br />structures and features are shown on the new map. <br />Response: <br />A new, complete, and accurate site map is submitted herewith. This map shows all <br />site structures and features. <br />
