II. DECISION TO REQUIRE REVISION
Based on this review at the mid-term of the permit period, the Division finds
that certain revisions and modifications are needed to insure future
compliance with the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act and
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. The
section which follows provides a review of mine status and details the
revisions required, justification for requiring the revisions and timetable
for submitting the revisions. The response from Salt Creek Mining Company
should follow the procedures defined for a technical revision to the permit
and should be submitted within 60 days of receipt of this mid-term report.
Revisions Required at Mid-Term
Based on the review of the Munger Canyon Mine permit presented above, the
Division finds that the following revisions are required at the mid-term of
the permit period:
1. The recent change of address of the Salt Creek Mining Company local
office needs to be updated on the permit application section of Vol. VI.
Additionally, the parent corporation identification as referred to in Appendix
Fs should be specified to follow the form of the permit application. The
permittee should also change this information on mine identification signs as
needed.
