The exact acreages and locations to be revegetated during 1990 are not known at this time because of the level of finish grading and topsoiling which remains to be completed prior to the fall revegetation and planting season. As in the past, finish grading, topsoiling, and revegetation activities will fallow mining activities as closely as practicable. Approximately 50 acres are revegetated annually at the Seneca Mine and this level is anticipated for 1990. The shrub and tree plantings will be conducted in a manner similar to the siting and planting procedures implemented over the past several years. Planting sites are identified prior to the fall revegetation and planting season in order to maximize the opportunity for selection of desirable microsites and .planting locations.
