As required by CMLRD Regulation 4.30 Cessation of <br />Operations the following information is provided. <br />4.30.1 Temporary. <br />(1) It is WFC's intent to temporarily cease underground <br />operations while continuing the effective support and <br />maintenance of the access openings and surface <br />facilities. WFC understands its obligation to comply <br />with provisions of the approved New Elk Permit and will <br />maintain the active status of the Permit and its <br />requirements. <br />(2) The following information is provided as part of WFC's <br />notice of intention to temporarily cease underground <br />operations. <br />(a) Current surface disturbance consists of <br />approximately 138 acres as described in 2.03.8 <br />Permit Term Information. The horizontal and <br />vertical extent of subsurface strata which have been <br />affected in the permit area is illustrated on the <br />enclosed drawing "Underground Workings and Seal <br />Locations". <br />(b) This is a temporary cessation of the underground <br />operations. Surface facilities will remain active <br />to support the Golden Eagle Mine operations. <br />Limited amounts of permanent reclamation (refuse <br />disposal area) have been completed to date. <br />
