Figgs <br />' LREP, Inc. <br />Archaeological Monitoring Summary Report <br />Dowe Flats, Boulder County, Colorado <br />' February 24, 2004 <br />Page 2 <br />September 16~ - 20~, 2002 (Monitoring Session Three) <br />Archaeological monitoring during this five day period (Monday -Friday) failed <br />to yield, any prehistoric or historic.cultural resources. Eighteen color <br />photographs were taken during topsoil removal (ca. 30 - 36 inches). Both DS and <br />D9 Cats ripped and stripped the topsoil into large piles for reclamation <br />purposes. Copies of the photographs, Archaeological Photographic Record forms, <br />and .Dowe Flats Disturbance Monitor forms were submitted to Cemex, Inc., in my. <br />transmittal letter dated September 23, 2002. Copies of the latter two'forms are <br />enclosed. <br />January 29'b - 31u, 2003 (Monitoring Session Four) <br />Archaeological monitoring during this three day period (Wednesday -Friday) <br />failed to yield any prehistoric or historic cultural resources. Fourteen color <br />photographs were taken during topsoil removal (ca. 30 inches +). Both D8 and <br />D9 Cats ripped and stripped the topsoil into large piles for reclamation <br />purposes. Copies of the photographs, Archaeological Photographic Retard forms, <br />and Dowe. Flats Disturbance Monitor forms were submitted to Cemex, Inc., in my <br />transmittal letter dated February 4, 2003.. Copies of the latter two forms are <br />enclosed: <br />October 27~ -November 6~, 2003 (Monitoring Session Five) <br />Archaeological monitoring during this nine day period (Monday -Friday; <br />Monday-Thursday) failed to yield any prehistoric or historic cultural resources. <br />Ninety-eight color photographs were taken during topsoil removal (ca. 24 - 36 <br />inches). Both D8 and D9 Cats ripped and stripped the topsoil into large piles for <br />• reclamation purposes. Copies of the photographs, Ar~aeological Photographic <br />Rernrd forms, and Dowe Flats Disturbance Monitor forms were submitted to <br />Cemex, Inc., in my transmittal letters dated November 9~ and 12~, 2003. Copies <br />of the latter two forms aze enclosed. , <br /> <br /> <br />removal activities. <br />In summary, twenty-five person/days of monitoring topsoil removal for <br />reclamation purposes has failed to yield prehistoric or historic isolated finds, <br />features, or sites.
