As part of the transition to this new
company, Grand Valley wishes to make the requested "contribution"
to the recovery fund for the endangered species in the Upper
Colorado River Basin. Increased depletions are projected because
of the expanded activity brought on by a proposed mine plan
modification for the McClane Canyon Mine north of Loma, Colorado.
I have enclosed a copy of the letter sent to the National Fish and
Wildlife Foundation as well as a copy of the Cashiers Check to pay
the fee. This payment should allow the resumption of processing
of the application for permit revision to the McClane Canyon Mine
Plan.
Please contact me if I can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
/~~~
ohn M.
