~~ <br />DA Permit No. CO 2SB OaT 2 002639 <br />® 1Veld County <br />DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AUTHORIZED R'ORK <br />In accordance with the terms and conditions of this permit, tiVeld County is authorized <br />by the Secretary of the Army to place pemm~ent fill material in St. Vvain Creek at <br />mile 13.60 in conjunction with a bank protection and stabilization project located in <br />Section 35, Township Z North, Range 68 hest, iVeld County, Colorado. <br />The completed work consisted of placing streambed material along an eroded shoreline. <br />Heavy equipment was utilized to push streambed material along the eroded area of <br />approxinntely 650 linear feet of shoreline to form a bean between an existing gravel <br />pond and St. Vrain Creek. An estimated 3,600 cubic yards of streambed material were <br />utilized in the project. <br />The remaining work consists of placing fill material landward of the above fill to <br />bring the berm to the desired line and grade, extend the berm to the west property <br />line, and provide riprap bank protection to the berm. Completion of the berm will <br />require the place~rent of an additional 8,000 cubic yards of material which will be <br />obtained from the existing gravel pit. After the berm is completed, a toe trench v,~ill <br />be excavated on the stream side of the berm with the excavated material being incorpor- <br />ated into the berm. The slope will be armor coated with an estimated 1,775 cubic yards <br />of riprap. At the upstream end of the project, the berm and riprap will be keyed into <br />the bankline at a 45 degree angle. <br />• The riprap vaill consist of either coarse native Tuck material or broken concrete.
