The
operator has proposed to modify this program to include only SWl and SW4 and
exclude all ephemeral and intermittent sampling sites. This proposal is not
acceptable due to the fact that the program would not adequately detect the
impacts of mining on surface water. Therefore, the following stipulation is
needed.
Stipulation No. 3:
1. THE PERMITTEE WILL TEST THE FOLLOWING SURFACE WATER SITES MONTHLY
FOR FIELD PARAMETERS OF TEMPERATURE, pH, CONDUCTIVITY, AND DISSOLVED
OXYGEN.
SW1 SW4
SW2 SW7
SW3 SW8
FLOW IS TO BE VISUALLY CHECKED AT EACH SITE NOTING NO FLOW, LOW,
MODERATE, OR HIGH FLOW. MONTHLY FLOW READINGS ARE TO BE CONTINUED AT
SW4.
