There is sufficient information presented to depict the seasonal
variations of flow and chemistry for the surface water of the area. Ground
water quality and quantity information for alluvium and bedrock aquifers has
been provided for the area. In addition, the permit application contains a
model of impacts expected from mining.
The information presented in the permit application has been utilized by the
Division to predict worst case impacts that could occur due to mining at the
Eastside facilities. These results are presented in the Probable Hydrologic
Consequences - Section VIII of this document.
In order to verify these predictions, an ongoing monitoring program is
needed. The permittee has not committed to such a program. Therefore, the
following stipulation is required.
STIPULATION N0. 1
THE PERMITTEE Wilt PERFORM THE MONITURING OUTLINED BELOW AND SUBMIT A
HYDROLOGIC MONITORING REPORT ANNUALLY IN JANUARY TO THE DIVISION
INCORPORATING THE FOLLOWING MONITORING DATA.
SURFACE WATER
1.
