('~'~ 8 arnhart Agency, Inc.
N \ ! 212 West 13th Street
~/ Pueblo, Colorado 81003 Ph: (719) 543-1324
February 27, 1996
*LETTER OF REQUEST*
Mr. Kim Headley, Director
Department of Planning and Development
1120 Court Street
Pueblo, Co. 81003
Re: Southwest Ready-Mir., Inc.
Hot Mix (road) Plant
Dear Mr. Headley:
Southwest Ready-Mix has retained me to prepare and process a
Pueblo County Special Use Permit for the installation of a
portable asphalt hot mix plant on the subject property, as
permitted by a Text Amendment to zoning regulations adopted
by the Board of. County Commissioners in December 1987.
Southwest Ready-Mix has a Special Use Permit now, which is
SUP 570 (2nd amended) where they operate a gravel pit and a
ready-mix batch plant. They are requesting to place a hot
mix asphalt plant on the property, which contains ap-
proximately 73.6 acres, close to the concrete batch plant.
No new roads will be needed to access the hot plant.
The applicant requests approval of this additional SUP to al-
low the company to install the hot mix plant to facilitate
the efficient transportation of the construction aggregate
from the pit site to the hot mix plant, thu~c reducing the
need to transport the aggregate over the public roads in the
county. This will limit the total number of trucks to the
one hauling trot min: to the job sites. The impact of this new
use wilt be minimal to other property owners in the area.
Enclosed with this "Letter of Request" are the foliowing
documents and information:
1) Application and s1E3.00 Application Fee:
2l Letter of Authorisation from Southwest Ready-htix, Inc.
for me to act as. agent fer the company in this matter;
3) Copy of 4uit Claim Deed;
4) Proof of Water - Clark Spring Water:
51 Sewer - Portable toilets will be used for the hot plant
personnel:
El Plot Plan;
7) Vicinity Map
The attached Plat Plan shcws the location of the property.
The A-1 Zone District Uses by P.eview section now provides for
the installation of a portable asphalt hot mix plant.
"Your Brand of People''
