Within 30 days of issuance of the proposed Resolved,
decision for the Seneca II-W Mine, the 9/19/85
applicant must update the post-mining land use
description of the portion of the permit
application to include comments received
concerning the proposed use by the legal and
equitable owners of records as well as the
appropriate state and local agencies which
would have to initiate, implement, approve, or
authorize the proposed use of the land
following reclamation.
2 The following springs will be monitored Resolved,
tri-annually for discharge, pH, temperature, 5/13/87
and conductance: 5-1, S-5, S-7, S-9, 5-23,
5-41, and Olson Spring (5-45 ).
In addition to the above field parameters, the
following springs will be sampled in August
for water quality analyses: S-9, 5-41, and
Olson Spring (5-45 ).
3 Wells at site GW-42-S2W-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6A, Resolved,
and 7A will be monitored monthly for water 5/13/87
level (to be reported in feet above or below
land surface datum) and field parameters
(temperature, specific conductance and pH).
Quarterly water quality samples will also be
taken at each well for the same parameters as
reported in the permit application package in
Table 7-77.
4 Peabody Coal Company must submit to, and, Resolved,
have approved by the Division a plan for 5/13/87
monitoring spoils water. This plan should
include installation of spoils monitoring
wells, a schedule of monitoring and a listing
of parameters to be monitored. This plan must
be submitted wifhin 30 days of permit issuance.
