Payment of one-third of the lump sum price will be made with the final progress payment for the work if demobilization has been completed. If the price bid for mobilization and demobilization is greater fifteen percent (15%) of the total contract price, invoices supporting the mobilization costs will be required before payment is approved. ITEM 2 Trash Removal Off of a previously operated haul road is an unmaintained road which leads to an area requiring the removal of various objects. The unmaintained road has slumped and requires road improvement for approximately 100 l.f. Trash removal consists of the following: - 1 - 12'diameter, 18' high steel tank presumably used for either petroleum products or water, - associated 2" diameter piping with the above steel tank approximately 100' total length; - 1 - 20' length, 1 - 15' length 16" diameter unraveled CSP; - 2 - 8'd off highway truck tires; - partially buried small steel frame approximately 6' wide x 12'length; - 3 steel barrels; The above items will either be salvaged or properly disposed off at a County approved landfill site. The method of disposal must be approved by the Project Manager prior to disposal. The Contractor will submit written documentation as to what disposal method was used. After removal of the trash the site will be revegetated. Revegetation will be performed on all areas disturbed and/or compacted during trash removal work including the general area around the large steel tank according to the Revegetation Specifications (20.0) in the General Bid Specifications. Commercial fertilizer or manure may be used for this project. Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer, certified weed free mulch, equipment for chiseling, fertilizer application, seeding, mulching, and crimping. Measurement and Payment Payment for this item will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 2 on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover payment of all costs for accessing excavation, loading, transport, documented disposal methods of the above listed trash and revegetation. There will be no measurement for payment. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for this task shall be made only for that amount shown under Item 7 of the Bid Schedule. Any or all incidental costs incurred by the CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR's expense. 5
