The following report contains the results of one static heap overburden loading
test of geomembrane and two soil types. The specific sample construction is listed
below. All of the materials were supplied to Golder by yourself following repeated
trips to the site.
1.0 Material Description:
Several different soil and geosynthetic materials were used to complete the testing
requcstrd. These materials are described by properties and referred to by name for
consistepcy during discussion of the testing procedures.
1.1 Soil Materials
Two types of soil materials were provided for testing and aze listed below:
1. Drain Cover Fill Material -Cresson Ore (DCF)
2. Low Volume Solution Collection Fill -Pad No.3 material (LVSCF)
Each one of these materials required mechanical processing to some degree. The DCF
was processed by air drying the material and then separating the material by grain size.
(See Figure 1) The material was then combined to meet the following specific grain-
siu distribution outlined in the request for testing and shown below:
6FFIGES INAII.ST~AI IA P1.NAIf~ QFIiManiv uiiM(~A7+iTaiv ~~Rncti iw~7[n vwr_rxinn iitirtzn tteTCe
