After review of Slurco, Corp.'s Adequacy Responses for the Canadian Mine Permit Renewal
No. 3, (received October 11, 1996), Slurco appropriately responded to items numbered; 1,
2, 3, and 5 of the Division's September 24, 1996 adequacy letter. Slurco did provide position
titles and start dates for current officers and directors of Slurco Corp. and KN Energy.
However, the Division still needs additional information for Section 2.03.4, Identification of
Interest.
1) When Officers or Directors have been identified in previous permit pages or are
listed in the Applicant/Violator System (AVS) for a corporation, the Division may
only remove the names of the individuals from Ownership and Control information
upon receipt of proof of resignation in the form of corporate minutes or a resignation
letter. Rule 2.03.4(3)(c) requires, "For each person who owns or controls..", "[t]he
title of the person's position, date position was assumed, ... and date of departwe
from the position."
a) Charles Battey is listed in the AVS as a Director, Chief Executive Officer, and
Chairman of the Board of Slurco Corporation Revised pages, dated October 11,
1996, indicate that Mr. Battey has been a Director of KN Energy Inc since 1971.
Please provide documentation in the form of corporate minutes or a resignation
letter, with effective begin and end dates, of when Mr. Battey resigned as Director,
Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board of Slurco Corporation, to allow
the Division to update the AVS.
b) Mr. Robert C. McHugh is listed in the AVS as Director and Secretary of Slurco
Corp, and Duector of KN Energy Inc. In your letter dated October 11, 1996, you
confirmed begin and end dates as Director and Secretary of Slurco for Mr. McHugh.
Please provide documentation of Mr. McHugh's begin and end dates in these
