M • <br />RMR-CURE-6000-003 7 <br />•Revegetation of the disturbed areas will be accomplished before the <br />bond is released. Revegetation efforts will use only native plants. <br />Seed should be collected within lOkm radius of the site if possible. <br />Seedlings and containerized plants may be used if they originated <br />near the site. Efforts should be made to start seedlings, a few years <br />before revegetation is to begin, from seed collected near the disturbed <br />areas. <br />Following recontouring and topsoil work, the Superintendent shall be <br />consulted concerning final surface stability. If the surface appeazs <br />sufficiently stable, no further work will be necessazy, However, <br />additional measures to prevent erosion could include: <br />Providing drainage channels; chipping to mulch size the vegetative <br />debris from the original clearing process and distributing it over the <br />land surface; and thinly scattering the larger size slash on the surface <br />in an aesthetic manner. <br />Following reclamation, a drift fence may be required to prevent <br />visitor access. If necessary, such a fence will be installed at the <br />request of the Superintendent. <br />41.+ Validity of this permit is contingent on completion of new Plan of <br />Operations and Reclamation Plan. Drafts of these documents must be <br />submitted to the Superintendent and the State of Colorado Mined Lands <br />Reclamation Division by 1 July 1992. Approved plans must be in place <br />by 1 February 1993. <br />
