The netting shall be installed in conformance with manufacturer's <br />specifications. Netting shall be rolled over the slope in the <br />direction of water flow and stapled in place with 6" wire staples. <br />Staple pattern and density shall be in conformance with manufacturer's <br />recommendations for given slope length/gradient combinations. The <br />uphill end of each roll shall be anchored by burying the end of the <br />roll with approximately 6' of cover material. <br />4. Hydromulch with tackifier <br />Hydromulch shall be applied at a rate of one and a half (1 1/2) tons <br />per acre. Mulch shall be applied after seeding and not later than 24 <br />hours after seeding. <br />Hydromulch shall consist of a virgin wood fiber mulch manufactured <br />from 100% whole wood chips. A minimum 30% of the wood fibers shall be <br />0.15 inches or longer. The wood fiber shall contain a water-soluble <br />non-toxic dye to insure uniform application. The hydromulch shall <br />include a non-asphalt tackifier to be applied at a rate of 60 pounds <br />per acre or according to manufacturer's recommendations. <br />MAINTENANCE <br />The CONTRACTOR shall maintain the areas until all work on the entire contract <br />has been completed and accepted. Maintenance will consist of repair of damage <br />caused by wind or water erosion, fire or other causes. Such areas shall be <br />repaired to reestablish the condition and grade of the seedbed and shall be <br />fertilized, reseeded, and remulched as directed by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br />MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br />There will be no measurement for payment made for this bid item. Payment <br />shall be made for the lump sum bid price. The Division has estimated the <br />approximate acreage to be revegetated (Exhibit 2>. However, bidders are <br />responsible for making their own acreage determinations. The price bid shall <br />include all of the CONTRACTOR'S cost of labor, material, equipment and all <br />other items necessary to complete the above described work in accordance with <br />the specifications. <br />PROJECT OBSERVATION <br />The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor <br />construction activities and ensure that each work item is completed and <br />constructed to design specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available <br />during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) on weekdays. <br />Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior <br />approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. The following items must be observed and <br />approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br />Final grading of site prior to topsoil application. <br />2. Completion of fertilization and seeding prior to mulch application. <br />3. "Miramat" installation at the No Name Drainage stabilization area. <br />-13- <br />
