Section B <br />I. Roads -Rule 4.03 <br />A. Haul Roads <br />1. One haul road was constructed at Mine No. 3. The road is shown on Map <br />6a, Mine Plan, with design specifications shown on Map 14a, haul road <br />profile and cross-sections aze detailed in Exhibit 3, Volume 3 of the permit <br />application. A discussion of the haul road is found in Section 2.05.3, <br />Volume 1 of the permit application. Designs were in compliance with <br />2.05.3 and 4.03. <br />2. The portion of the haul road south of County Road 33 has been reclaimed. <br />The portion of the haul road north of its junction with County Road 33, and <br />south of its junction of County Road 179 has been deeded to Routt County, <br />and has become part of the new County Road 179. The replaced portion of <br />County Road 179 was partially reclaimed when the Mine No. 3 was <br />completed, and part remains as a permanent light use road. The transfer of <br />responsibility and location is described at Exhibit 25 of the Mine No. 3 <br />permit document. <br />B. Access Roads <br />There are no access roads lefr at Mine No. 3. The remaining roads within <br />the permit area aze considered light use roads. <br />C. Light-Use Roads <br />The pre-existing roads into and around the Lieske residence (which is <br />owned by Cyprus) will remain as permanent light use roads. These roads <br />are shown on Map 16a. These existed prior to mine development and aze <br />used primarily for residence access, anon-mining related activity. Mine <br />personnel use the roads on an infrequent basis for mine reclamation <br />monitoring and aze therefore approved as permanent light use roads. The <br />provisions of Rule 4.03.3 have been met. <br />2. The light use road into and past sediment pond Mine 3 South, shown on <br />Map 16a, is also a permanent light use road. The road is used for <br />reclamation and pond monitoring activities. The road is in compliance with <br />Rule 4.03. <br />II. Support Facilities -Rule 4.04 <br />A. The only support facility at this site is the office, warehouse and equipment <br />storage area located south of, and adjacent to, County Road No. 33. <br />Construction of support facilities did not result in damage to any preexisting <br />12 <br />
