New Mexico <br />87501 <br />TONEY ANAYA <br />covERNOR July 24, 1985 <br />Iii ~(1•;r~o~ <br />Mr. Greg Squires ~+ <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />. - ~,-• -...-1 <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />423 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />Dear Mr. Squires: <br />The regulations of the New Mexico Coal Surfacemining Commission require <br />applicants for coal surface mining permits to report, in the <br />application, if any suspension, revocation or forfeiture of a permit has <br />occurred and a listing of each violation received by the applicant <br />during the three year period before the application date. <br />Kaiser Coal Corporation, a recently formed corporation under the <br />management of Perma Mining Corporation, has filed an application for an <br />underground mining permit for the proposed Cimarron Mine in Colfax <br />County, New Mexico. The permit application contains a statement that <br />neither the applicant, nor any of its subsidaries or affiliates has had <br />a permit suspended or revoked in the last five years. The application <br />also contains a listing of violations received by Perma in the State of <br />Colorado since August, 1981. A copy of this list is enclosed. <br />we would appreciate you reviewing this list for comple~eness and <br />accuracy and correcting this list as necessary.
