• i <br />the Division finds, based on information given above, that the proposed <br />operation will not interrupt, discontinue, or preclude farming on alluvial <br />valley floors, will not materially damage the quantity or quality of water in <br />ground and surface water systems which supply alluvial valley floors, and will <br />be conducted to preserve the essential hydrologic functions of the alluvial <br />valley floors. <br />The application is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />,(. Climatological Information and Air Resources - Rules 2.04.8. <br />Z.05.4(2)(h), 2.05.6(1), and 4.17 <br />------------------------------------------------------------ <br />Climatological information found in the approved permit application for the <br />Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine also covers the area of the proposed loadout facility. <br />Initial approval (Emission Permit N0. 90GA253> has been issued by the Colorado <br />Department of Health, Air Pollution Control Division, for the hauling, <br />dumping, storage, and rail car loading of coal at the site. <br />The aopiicaticn is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />~I. iopscil - Rules 2.04.9, 2.05.3(5), 2.05.4(2)(d>, and 4.06 <br />-------------------------------------------------------- <br />The entire proposed loadout site is covered with approximately 10 inches of <br />gravel, so there is no salvageable topsoil available. Topsoil reclacement will <br />nor be required during reclamation. <br />The application is in compliance with the requirements of thi; section. <br />([I. 'legetation - Rules 2.04.10, 2.05.4(2)(e), and 4.15 <br />-------------------------------------------------- <br />As mentioned in the previous section of this document, the industrial site is <br />covered with gravel, which is a poor growth medium, and there is no <br />significant vegetation in the area to be disturbed. The area will accordingly <br />be exempted from revegetation requirements during reclamation. <br />ih2 application is in compliance with the requirements of this iecticn. <br />(iII. Fish and Wildlife - Rules 2.04.11, 2.05.6(Z), and 4.13 <br />------------------------------------------------------ <br />information on fish and Wildlife resources in the area is located in <br />Section 3.7 of the approved permit application for the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine, <br />and applies as well to the proposed loadout facility. <br />Since the loadout is to b2 located in an existing industria~ site located <br />between major transportation corridors, ne impact to wildlife i; expected. <br />No 'threatened or endangered species are known to occur in the permit area. <br />Measures used to ensure the safety of fish and wildlife are listed in <br />Section 4.5.2 of the Permit Revision application. <br />-9- <br />
