Messrs. Banta and Crane
August 29, 1980
Page 4 (, • ~•
shrubs will be initially dominated by grasses and forbs. However, after
4 - 5 years, shrubs will become a dominate part of the plant communities.
Seedling transplants will develop considerably faster than seeded shrubs
and should be visibly evident on reclaimed areas after 2 - 3 years. Sites
receiving loader transplants will first receive topsoil after tree place-
ment, then will be seeded and finally will receive seedling transplants.
Clones will be spaced so that the interspaces, which will be seeded to
grasses, will initially give the appearance of a grassland broken up by
transplanted mature shrubs. As the seeded and transplanted shrubs mature
a shrub dominated landscape will develop.
Please contact the undersigned with comments or questions. Thank
you.
Sincerely,
ENERGY FUELS CORPORATION
~~- ~ ~~
Kent A.
