We1120-36 EPA Permit No. C03858-04562 Tested (7/3/02)
Prior to increasing the pressure on arty additional well(s), an approved step pressure test
shall be run on each well to demonstrate the formation fracture pressure is not exceeded
on any wells proposed for pressure increases.
(Paragraph 3.) For commercial operations the inlet pressure may range between 300 to
700 psig at the surface. If testing is conducted, the results shall be provided to the EPA,
and inlet pressures maybe adjusted i:Fwarranted. For the sixteen (16) wells listed above,
the inlet pressure may vary between :500 to 800 psig.
The Yankee Gulch Project Area Pernrit (C03858) is hereby modified to reflect the
increased injection pressure as approved by the Director. This Minor Permit Modification is
effective immediately. All other unmodified portions of this section and other provisions and
conditions of the Final Area Permit, No. C0:3858-00000, Class III Solution Mining Wells remain
in effect.
Modified to Read:
PART II. C.4.
4. Injection Pressure.Limitation. (Paragraph.!.) Based on the results from the test
mining, a maximum injection pressure of 700 psig is approved for all wells,
except as specified below, within the EPA Area Permit No. CO 3858-00000, until
such time as the operator demonstrates otherwise. The operator, based on the
results of an injection pressure; test using fluid normally injected to determine the
instantaneous shut in pressure (ISIP) and formation breakdown pressure, may
request a change in the maximum injection pressure from the Director.
Based on the step pressure tesr. results a maximum allowable iujection pressure
of 800 nsia is approved by tLie Director for the nineteen (19) wells listed
below:
