authorized wells in the field (and any future wells) not presently proposed for pressure increases
will continue to be limited to the 700 psi injection pressure authorized by the Permit.
With receipt of your step pressure tests and attachments, the Yankee Gulch Project Area
Permit (CO3858-00000) is being modified to reflect the increased injection pressure as
requested. EPA hereby modifies the following conditions of the previously modified Area
Permit.
Existing version of Permit:
PART II. C.4.
4. Injection Pressure Limitation. (Paragraph 1.} Based on the results from the test
mining, a maximum iniectio~ressure of 700 psie is approved for all wells within
the EPA Area Permit No. CO 3858-00000, until such time as the operator
demonstrates otherwise. The operator, based on the results of an injection
pressure test using fluid normally injected to determine the instantaneous shut in
pressure (IS1P) and formation breakdown pressure, may request a change in the
maximum injection pressure from the Director.
Based on the step pressure test results a maximum allowable injection pressure of 800
P~ is approved by the Director for the sixteen (16) wells listed below:
We1120-30 EPA Permit No, CO3859-04557 Tested (9/26/01)-Initial Test
2.
