Bob Oswald
Re: West Sunday Mine, Permit M-1981-021
Project Maps, Site Reports, and Responses to Inspection Reports
Page 2 oft
Area do not reflect site conditions as they existed when this current Operator received the
Permit by transfer in 1997.
The Affected Area at the West Sunday Mine has not been delineated, either on maps or in the
field. Based on current site conditions and future use and reclamation considerations for this
site, the Operator has proposed a new Affected Area boundary. Upon review and concurrence
by the Division with the Proposed Affected Area boundary, the Operator can then mark the
Affected Area corners in the field and resolve the Corrective Action item that is outstanding
on this issue.
The maps submitted herewith do not include final closure and reclamation depictions.
Reclamation maps will be submitted upon reaching concurrence with the Division on the
accuracy and completeness of the submitted maps showing current conditions.
The Operator welcomes the opportunity to meet with Division personnel to discuss the
current, existing site conditions and determine the appropriate follow-up actions to get the
Permit information up to date and to correct any deficiencies.
Sin~y~G~ /i
Terry V.
