r _
Gary Goodell
Page Two
August 21, 1981
The Board recommends that the trees around the existing
farm house site should be preserved as long as possible so
that new replacement trees can become established;
The Board is concerned with the impact on wildlife and
neighborhoods of such elements as night lighting, dust .and
noise pollution;
The Board is concerned with the use of water on the
property and as it affects the adjacent Open Space property.
The Board recommends that the water from the dewatering
process be made available for use on adjacent Open Space
property as offered by Flatirons and requests that the City
have the first option to lease of available water shares which
are not in use during the mining and reclaimation process.
The Board further recommends that the existing water shares on
the property should be retained and used to their fullest
extent to maintain the green landscape elements of the
Deepe Farm as this affects the visual corridor into Boulder.
The Open Space Board of Trustees further requests that
as additional details on the reclaimation plan as approved
by the Colorado Mined Land Reclaimation Board become
available that these should be forwarded to the Open Space
Board of Trustees for review.
Requirements and comments on this proposal from other
City departments are attached.
Please call me at 3440 if you have any questions.
DW/lc
cc: Jim Baily, City Planning
