_ _ ~.
~us.
B. The cost factor needs to be addressed and taken care of
immediately. These costs are as follows:
a. Having our men go into Lone Pine and fix the road
Labor and equipment time $10,000.00
b. Pulling our men off of the construction being done
in other locations here on our property, which
- means we would have to hire others $50,000.00
c. Fixing the cabin with our crew $25,000.00
d. Fixing the road by the fan $ 5,000.00
e. Loss of revenue because we could not use the cabin
in Lone Pine $250,000.00
THIS TOTALS A LOSS TO LARRY AND ELAINE
$340,000.00
Christine these on going problems with Mountain Coal Company,
West Elk Mine have become more than serious. If Mountain Coal
Company, West Elk Mine, can buy property for $695,000.00 from
John Waite, that they are not mining under for several hundred
thousands of dollars, why is it that they can not take care of
their responsibilities to the land owners that they now mine
under.
The first way in which to resolve these problems is to pay us the
monies that have been calculated above in the amount of
$340,000.00. The second solution is to deed us the Jenkins
Property, which Mautz has a 20 year lease with Mountain Coal
Company, this would have a value of $70,000.00. Putting up the
fence around the bottom of the land where the fan, also known as
the Milk Farm, is located along the river, as they promised
several months ago. Thus leaving a balance of $270,000.00 that
the Mautz's have lost.
Christine, I do not understand why we, (Larry & Elaine Mautz) the
landowners must be put through this abuse every year, when there
are regulations, and laws that states that the mining company
must take care of these problems.
When you are here on August 29, 1995, I would like all these
problems resolved promptly. Larry S Elaine can not let these
concerns continue at this rate, for it is costing us our
livelihood. Please lets look at these issues and get them
resolved.
Si cerelyG~~~
Elaine Mautz// JJ
