Y
Mid-Term Review 5 November 27, 1985
map-index list in volume 5 (five) of the permit. If the above drawings are
considered a part of the application, each drawing needs to be revised as
necessary to show the present situation.
- Construct Concrete Disposal and Wash Water Pit-Plant Access Road -
~ oQ~ oo,.~~o~+
,
Western Fuels needs to clarify whether this pit has been reclaimed and whether
appropriate maps within the permit application have been or need to be revised
to depict the present situation.
PROI - Deserado Mine Plan - April 13, 1982 Request
Three maps were submitted along with this request: "D" Seam Mining Plan (DWG
No. DMP-lA), Deserado Mine Five Year Mining Plan (DWG D1P1001-C), and D Seam
Mining Plan (DWG D1P1002-C). It is unclear from information contained in the
Division files whether the request was approved or withdrawn. Additionally,
it is unclear as to whether the above referenced maps are part of the permit
application.
A related correspondence from Western Fuels dated May 11, 1982 also contains a
copy of Drawing D1P1002-C and indicated some minor changes to the
configuration of the mine plan. Please clarify whether this drawing is a part
of the permit and whether the requested changes were implemented.
- Deletion of Topsoilin Re uirement alon Portions of Colorado Road 65 -
4, 982 Request
This revision was approved in writing in the June 3, 1982 inspection report.
It is important to note, however, that the approval was conditioned upon
Western Fuels being able to successfully revegetate the non-topsoiled slopes.
As such, the Division will require quantitative vegetation sampling of these
slopes during the 1986 growing season to determine whether topsoiling will be
required. Additionally, a map should be prepared which shows the location of
each cut slope not to be topsoiled but which will be revegetated.
MR11 - Construct Temporary Refuse Area Haul Road -Received May 21, 1982
Map No. 77 (DWG D-346-C-118 Revision 0) - Deserado Mine Surface Facility
Refuse Area Site Preparation -Site 1 (one), 2 (two), 3 (three) and 4 (four)
must be revised to show the present configuration of the above referenced
road. From recent inspections of the refuse area it appears that this road is
still in place.
MR12 - Leave Three Check Dams in Place - May 17, 1982 Request
An approval document for this revision could not be located in the Division
files. Please check your files to see if Western Fuels ever received a
written approval. If the request was approved, please submit appropriate page
