Prior to Board consideration, please submit the Soil Conservation <br />Service recommendations for revegetation and soil treatment. Recommendations <br />made in the report which are not acceptable to the operator should be addressed <br />at the time of submittal. Staff requests that cottonwood plantings be a <br />part of the over all revegetation plan. <br />8. The Staff recommends a minimum setback of 25 feet from adjacent <br />properties and right of ways. Additionally, significant man made objects <br />occurring within 200 feet of the mining operation will require an agreement <br />between the operator and the owner of the structures that damage to such <br />structures is to be compensated for by the operator (e.g., Highway 82; <br />Basin Ditch; any residential site; etc.). Please refer to Rule 1.56(5) <br />in the Rules and Regulations. <br />9. Please describe when and how settling ponds and associated plant site <br />disturbances will be reclaimed. <br />10. Please note that the Division has forwarded this application to the <br />Division of Water Resources for their review and comment. <br />11. Please submit detailed drawings, specifications, and plans for <br />construction of the inverted siphon to allow the Divisions hydrologist <br />and geotechnical specialist to make a decision regarding the suitability of <br />the inverted siphon as proposed. <br />12. Staff will request that bond be set at $12,800.00 based upon information <br />provided in the application and subsequent correspondence. Costs were <br />calculated as follows: <br />$1,230 <br />x3 acres major disturbance <br />$3,690 <br />$530.00 <br />11.05 acres moderate disturbance <br />$6,095 <br />$500.00 <br />x6 acres minor disturbance <br />$3,000 <br />Sum-.- $12,800 <br />The Mined Land Reclamation Board will consider this application at the <br />December 16-17, 1981 Board meeting. Prior to that time, please submit all <br />necessary proofs of publication, notification of adjacent landowners, and <br />proof of conformance with local zoning regulations~if available. <br />
