The haul roads at the mine have been certified by a registered professional engineer that they have been constructed according to designs contained in the permit application. Two types of light-use roads are used at the mine, The first type consists of pit roads, which changed frequently with the pit configuration. These roads - are of stable configurations and within the sediment control system. The second type of light-use road is the "perimeter" road. This road was required by BLM to act as a buffer between the mine and surrounding BLM roads. The road is used only for periodic monitoring and inspections. The design, location, drainage, surfacing, construction, and reclamation plans for these roads are more than adequate to meet the performance standards of 4.03.3. The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section. W S ` XXI.
