,. <br />PLEASE TARE NOTICE that on October 6, 1993, the Application <br />Pursuant to Bankruptcy Code Section 503 (b) of the United <br />Steelworkers of America AFL-CIO-CLC and Certain of Its <br />Professionals, for Payments of Actual, Necessary, Expenses and <br />Compensation for Professional Services in Making a Substantial <br />Contribution in these Cases (Docket Number 2533) (the <br />"Application"), came on for hearing before the United States <br />Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah. The Application <br />sought allowance and payment of a total of $1,045,316.01 <br />comprised of the following fees and expenses of professionals of <br />the United Steelworkers of America (the "USWA"j: <br />Cohen, Weiss & Simon <br />Arnold ~ Porter <br />Keilin and Bloom <br />ee <br />$71,469.50 <br />$46,538.00 <br />$900,000.00 <br />Expenses <br />$14,865.02 <br />0 <br />$12,443.49 <br />The Reorganized Debtors had previously filed an objection to the <br />Application that requested that the Court disallow all of the <br />requested fees and expenses except for $9,547.01 in fees ,and <br />$1,268.52 in expenses of Cohen, Weiss ~ Simon. <br />At the October 6 hearing, the USWA advised the Court that <br />settlement negotiations had occurred between the USWA and the <br />Reorganized Debtors concerning the Application and the objection <br />of the Reorganized Debtors. Furthermore, the USWA, the <br />Reorganized Debtors, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation <br />advised the Court of their agreement to the following settlement <br />which, if approved, would result in the allowance and payment by <br />2 <br />
