COORS KEENESBURG MINE
SPOIL PILE 1 & 2
Re: MLRB Permit No. C-028-81, Stipulation 18
1. The overburden material is originally placed in the spoil piles. by
use of dragline and scraper. The material is then resloped by use
of the backhoe, dozer and scraper.
2. The attached sketches show the proposed design indicating height
and slope angle at four cross section locations in the Pile 2 area
as shown on the attached plan view map.
3. Initial Spoil Piles 1 and 2 will be combined into a single regraded
spoil pile.
4. Regraded spoil pile slopes in the Spoil Pile 1 and 2 area will not
exceed 2 horizontal to 1 vertical.
5. Maximum limits of spoil pile placement will be as shown by dashed
line labeled "EDGE OF SPOIL" as shown in Appendix M-2.
6. Typical initial spoil pile and regraded spoil pile cross-sections
will be as shown in Appendix M-5 as the piles are developed in a
southeasterly direction.
7. After final shaping, the scraper will place "B" horizon topsoil as
necessary to support the overburden spoil pile temporary reclama-
f tion revegetation.
41SR:bd
3/19/82
