~ 2. Fencing - Prior to beginning excavation the entire property
will be enclosed with 72 inch chain link fence topped with
three strands of barb wire. One gate for entrance/exit will
be installed. This fence will remain until rehabilitation
grading has been completed.
~
3. Haul Roads - Internal private roads will be graveled and
i maintained in a dust free condition, including treating with
an emulsified dust suppressant if necessary.
~ 4. Haul Routes - It is anticipated that most of the traffic to
and from the site will utilize Nome Street south to US 85,
then south into the Denver Metropolitan Area (75X). Some
traffic will also exit north on Nome Street to 132nd to
~ US 85 then north toward Brighton (15X). Finally, a smaller
percentage of vehicles will exit south on Nome to US 85,
south to 124th, then west toward North Thornton (10x).
These percentages are based on preliminary indications from
~ ~ the operating gravel pit to the south. The maximum amount
of truck loads anticipated is 100 per day or less than 10
per hour. Since all of the above mentioned roads are paved
and not at capacity, this operation will not cause any over-
~ load, especially when one considers this operation will simply
replace the existing one to the south and not add to it.
No acceleration or deceleration lanes are planned as the.
amount of traffic does not justify it, and the County has
~ not required similar size and even larger operations to in-
stall such lanes along Nome Street.
5. Sanitary Facilities - Bottled water will be provided and
san-o-lets for employees, visitors, truck drivers use.
•
6. Water for Dust Suppresion/Evaporation/Revegetation - Water
for these uses will be pumped out of the created lake. A
change in use of existing water rights to allow this from
~ water court will be obtained.
7. Lighting - An outside light on or near the trailer may be
installed to help visibility for vandalism control.
8. Fire Protection - Brighton Fire Protection District
•
The property to the south will have a fill station for the
Districts use.
9. Signs - A stop sign will be installed at the gate. Other
~ warning signs may be installed along Nome Street if the
County requires it. In addition, a small sign will be install-
ed at the entrance giving the address, name of the operation,
emergency phone number, and hours of operation.
