•
agronomic tests reported in Table 5-5, we would recommend 40 pounds of nitrogen
fertilizer per acre be applied to all redressed topsoils along the road.
•
The fill material, as to be expected, is deficient in the three macronutrients
nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. In those areas of fill where soil will not be
redressed with topsoil, it is recommended that 40 lbs of nitrogen, 40 1bs of P205,
•
and 80 1bs of K20 per acre be applied.
The sample of soil from the stockpile along the haul road will require, in addition
• to the 40 lbs of nitrogen per acre, about 40 lbs per acre of K20 Topsoil
presently stockpiled at the pit 2 will also require, in addition to the 40 lbs of
nitrogen per acre, about 30 lbs per acre of K20.
• Soils to be stripped and redressed in the pit 2 area would benefit from a fertilizer
application of 40 lbs per acre nitrogen, and 40 1bs per acre K20.
•
•
•
•

• - 21 -
