RESIDUAL EFFECTS <br />The extraction and removal of 37 million tons of coal is the only irreversible or irretrievable commitment of <br />resources that would occur if Alternative One is implemented. <br />Subsidence could occur over areas that have been mined, the amount of surface that could be impacted is <br />undetermined and is expected to be insignificant.
