WEST RIDGE SUMMARY
The West Ridge Hydrologic Reconstruction Plan was completed in 1995. West Ridge has been
sepazated into nine different blocks for the Erosion Inventory Control Report using the terraces
as boundaries as shown on Exhibit 1, Sheet 2. Table 12 provides a summary of the inventory
data and is followed by a brief description of each block and corrective measures performed on
each block as a result of previous inventories. P&M personnel expect that some erosional
features may develop in the newly reclaimed azeas for the next several yeazs until vegetation
begins to establish. The terraces are performing as anticipated; existing gullies located primarily
on older non topsoiled reclamation show very little sign of new erosion and seem to be healing.
Table 12: West Ridge Erosion Inventory Data Summary
Block 1-6 35
Block 6-7 21
Block 7-8 17
Block 8-9 18
Block 9-10 27
Block 10-11 23
Block I1-12 19
Block 12-13 21
Block 13-14 24
Block ]-6
• No corrective measures taken to date.
Block 6-7
• Gully repair (1996).
Block 7-8
• No corrective measures taken to date.
Block 8-9
• No corrective measures taken to date.
Block 9-10
• Gully repair (1996).
Block 10-11
• No corrective measures taken to date.
18
18
17
19
25
24
22
21
Block 11-12
• Gully repair (1996).
