I pointed out that none of our pits will close during [he expected Eive <br />year life of a permit. Moreover, we hold a 35 year fuel agreement that effect- <br />ively guarantees a continued market for our coal. <br />It was my understanding from our conversation that you believed the.issue <br />could effectively be addressed by conceptually discussing how a typical pit clo- <br />sure will be handled, In addition, we should commit [o provide a more specific <br />closure plan if and when it becomes evident [hat a pit would close during the <br />life of the permit. <br />Unless otherwise apprised, we will continue work on our application per the <br />above assumptions.
