• i <br /> <br />CASTLE CONCRETE COMPANY'S <br />MINED LAND RECLAMATION <br />1984 ANNUAL REPORT <br />SAND PIT <br />77-213 <br />REPORT IN BRIEF: Mining during the last year was primarily on <br />the west side. No actual reclamation work was done. Currently <br />plans are being drafted to open the pit to the south into <br />Daniel's Sand Pit #2. This will involve changing the locations <br />of the irrigation ditch and removal of the "dike". This plan <br />will improve the future utility of the sites and the reclamation <br />in both areas will be made simpler, more economical, and more <br />effective. <br />RULE 2.41(1); During the 1983/84 permit year, the operation <br />expanded another 2 acres to the west. On the north and <br />especially the south end of the working face there remains about <br />1.25 to 1.75 years worth of material, if demand remains average. <br />RULE 2.41(2); No acreage has been reclaimed this year for the <br />same reason that none occurred last year. Operational inter- <br />ference remains. Substantial changes in the reclamation plan <br />will probbly be proposed in the next mining year. <br />RULE 2.41(3): No changes in stages or phases has occurred in the <br />1983/84 permit year. <br />RULE 2.41(4): No seeding has occurred in the past year. <br />RULE 2.41(5): Not applicable <br />RULE 2.41(6): No reclamation available to assess, <br />RULE 2.41(7); In the next year, extraction will occur primarily <br />in areas that might be called "clean-up" under the current plan. <br />This will include mainly the NE, NW, and SW corners of the pit. <br />Total acreage will be about 2 to 3. <br />MAP: No map is included at this time.
